New Broadcaster on JTV!

We just rolled out a bunch of new features to the site. Check it out:

  • New broadcaster! Now you can get much better video quality from both the Good and Best broadcasters, and change your resolution and video bitrate. Also, you can now see how much latency there is between you and the server (hint: if your latency meter fills up, try lowering your bitrate), and automatically detect your bandwidth.
  • Push your highlights to Youtube! Go to any highlight page to push it that video to your Youtube account!
  • Switch Public and Private Channels! You can now change your channel from public to private and back again by entering a password on edit settings!
  • Banned words list! Enter a list of words you'd like to ban from your channel chat on the Chat tab of your edit settings page, and never have to see them again.
Have a Great Weekend!

New features!

New features this Friday:

  • We're now defaulting to the new video server cluster -- everyone should try that out and give us feedback!
  • Chat activity sort in directory (now you can see which rooms are the most active even when they aren't broadcasting!)
  • Channel playlists will play in sync now!
  • Improvements to finding your webcam in the publisher (your webcam will now be stored in a cookie so you won't have to select the right one every time)
  • On site notifications for when someone friends you, accepts your friend request, comments on your profile, messages you, or favorites your channel!
Have a great weekend!
