This week’s release
May 2, 2008 by JTV Staff

You can now block bulletins with just one click! If you accidentally block someone you didn’t mean to, you can go to your account settings to unblock them. We also pushed a whole bunch of small tweaks to the site that should make it faster and help accommodate our growing community. Let me know in the comments if there are any other small features that would make your life on Justin.tv easier!

How about the ability for viewers to disable playlists sitewide?

considering how often streams buffer, the playlists can get rather annoying

Bob – That’s an interesting idea. Is the problem that you see playlists while browsing around the site, or that when a stream cuts out it goes to the playlist?

Tom – rest assured we’re working as hard as we can on that. It’s always our #1 priority.

Hey,

How about when someones not broadcasting theres a clock as it only is shown when the person broadcasts. This way you can easily find out when the next broadcast is.

And also maybe if someone has a schedueld event; a countdown is added to the broadcast window to that event.

Please give us a box to check, that will “block all bulletins”! When you have 806 fans and 400 friends like I do… clicking to “Block Bulletins” (on a one one user basis) just doesn’t cut it! Please give us a global way to just turn off that feature. Just simple “block all” box to check. Thanks!

Some people are going to hate the playlists completely. No offense to JTV, but they’re largely from youtube. So, most people could just go there and watch the same thing. There’s only so many rick rolls people can watch.

Then there’s the vast majority of people like me who don’t have a problem seeing a playlist video once, but after that the videos lose their appeal. Then you add in the buffering and you see the playlist videos go up and down, up and down. Constantly repeating over and over. Videos with all different volumes that just randomly cut in when the stream buffers and goes offline. It basically ends up being the most annoying thing ever.

So the ability to have a varied level of control on the playlist videos would be very nice. (Turn them off, run only once, run unlimited)

Thanks for listening
